Journal of Dalian Jiaotong University (formerly Journal of Dalian Railway Institute, established in 1980) is an academic journal in the field of transportation, sponsored by Dalian Jiaotong University and published internationally and domestically. It primarily publishes original research papers in areas including transportation management and control, intelligent manufacturing of rail transit equipment, transportation infrastructure and materials, and interdisciplinary studies and cutting-edge transportation technologies. The journal aims to promptly reflect the latest scientific achievements in transportation, promote academic exchange both at home and abroad, and serve the advancement of China's technological capabilities and modernization.
Currently, the Journal of Dalian Jiaotong University is recognized as a high-quality science and technology journal in railway transportation (T2 category) and a core Chinese science and technology journal (CSTPCD). It is indexed by Scopus and has been included in over ten domestic and international databases, including CNKI's China National Knowledge Infrastructure Full-text Database (CJFD), Wanfang's China Academic Journals Database, VIP's Chinese Science and Technology Periodicals Database, the Research Report on Evaluation of Chinese Academic Journals (RCCSE), the "China Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan (Phase II): Engineering and Technology Cluster," the China Open Access Journal Database (COAJ), Chemical Abstracts (CA), EuroPub, Cambridge Scientific Abstracts (CSA), Russian Abstracts Journal (AJ), and Ulrich's Periodicals Directory (UPD). The journal has been awarded as an outstanding science and technology journal in the 2024 Demonstration Case Library for University Science and Technology Journals in China, and has been selected for the "China Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan (Phase II)" cluster (group) pilot project (Project No.: Cluster-B4; Project period: 2024–2028). It has also been included in the "2025 Science and Technology Journal Service Cases for High-Quality Innovation Development" and recognized as one of the outstanding cases in the first Northeast Region Science and Technology Journal Support Program for Discipline Building and Regional Innovation (2025).
